Frank Lisi -Actor, Writer, Director

Life was not a bed of roses down in the boiler room for ex-Kearnyite Frank Lisi but his promise of expectations imagined were beginning to cast a glimmer on reality. The New York born, Lodi bred Operating Engineer was doing a nice bit of extra work in the Sopranos HBO series when his budding career came to a halt.

He was diagnosed with cancer on July 5, 2005. But being a tough Jersey guy he made it through intense chemotherapy for the entire summer, followed by 10 weeks of radiation five days a week. By Thanksgiving, Lisi was finished with the treatments. He went back to work in Newark in January 2006.

But not being satisfied with his cancer-free status, the stalwart thespian strutted back into the acting game in a big way.
